The Ringbalin Light Railway G Division is a Large Scale/G/Garden model train layout (trains running on 45mm track) located in Bundaberg QLD Australia. It consists of two layouts; the "Mainline" and the "Cane Line" that operate independently of each other but do connect via an interchange line.

2. Stage 1-October to November 2019 G Support Construction
With the plan decided upon construction began in earnest on the track bed supports all the way along the fence on the lower level and up to the corner on the upper.
The upper level had a bridge incorporated to get it to the corner. This has subsequently been removed due to a bend in the deck being discovered during track laying.

1. Stage 1-August - October 2019 G The Beginning of the Layout
I had the idea of a garden layout already formed when I moved into the new house after already having one where I was.
The decision to make it elevated was taken at this time.
The size of the block being 800+ Square Metres meant that I could expand my new layout to be even larger than the old one that block being only 650 Square Metres.
There is no real track plan drawn it is all inside my head and subject to change as situations arise.
These pictures show the area when planning started the view is from the shed door out and towards the same door with track laid out roughly to ascertain if I had enough.
The bush and the tree behind it just had to go
The same area after tree and bush removal.
The next step was to build the supports for the track bed, these are the original supports built with parallel double tracks in mind.
After a change of plan a two level layout was settled on these pictures show a mockup of a two level track using the existing supports.
Another change of plan now sees another mock up this eventually became the track configuration as it is now being built.
The upper train is an LGB 1:22.5 Stainz and the lower on a 1:20.3 Bachmann Spectrum 3 truck Shay, the thinking here is that a bit of selective perspective would make the trains not appear to much out of scale when compared.
