Uppen Down Railway: Re-Configuration Construction Logs

The construction of the railway mainline began in August 2019.

I decided to reconfigure the layout and make it “point to point’ instead of a pair of loops. to give me more shunting and running options as opposed to just running trains chasing their tails which become rather boring.

This page lists the construction of the railway re-configuration. Links to posts about each milestone in the construction reached, which summarises what has been done, are listed below so that the construction can be easily followed.

1. 14 January 2024 Work Begins on new Loops

2. 18 January 2024 Area for the Indoor Section cleared

5. 5. October 2024 The Upper Level Track heads into the shed.
