I converted this locomotive from a US outline locomotive to an Australian Sugar Cane diesel Loco.

US outline Side Rod Locomotive |
It mostly involved a repaint and changing and adding some details.
Below is a description of the changes involved.
- Removed front all the US style pieces from the buffer beams.
- Removed the exhaust stack and replace it with a scratch built exhaust pipe with muffler
- Repainted the chassis green
- Repainted the bonnet and cab yellow
- Repainted side rods and counterweights plus buffer beams red.
- Added Air-Con units made from cut down Bachmann "Big Hauler" headlights and fly screen.
- Weathered with a black wash, I went a bit heavy handed originally but have now removed a large amount to give a more toned down subtle weathering.

weird no railroads in the US ever used side rod diesel all of the early switchers were stuff like the NW1 SW1 RS1 and stuff like that
Guess the AT&SF markings are just LGB poetic linence.
