I have one live steam loco an Accucraft "Ruby"
I added radio control using a kit purchased online.
When fitting the throttle horn for the servo to connect to, I found the throttle shaft was to short and the horn bashed on some piping and was to far away from the servo rod to connect successfully.
To rectify this a friend made a throttle extension to overcome the issue.

To house the receiver and a battery I made a tender using a wooden flat car and a power point mounting box (picture 1).
