Railmotor

 I built a railmotor out of an LGB coach, a toy train diesel and a cowcatcher from a Bachmann "Big Hauler"

Radio Control & Electronic Components;

·         HobbyKing 2.4 GHz 4Ch Tx & Rx Version2 Mode 1.

·         SyREN 10 A Motor Controller

·         uBEC to supply 5V for the receiver

·         Ten (10), 2700mAH NiMH, 1.2V AA cells, in a battery holder, are used to give a nominal 12V Battery.

·         A MyLocoSound railcar sound card

·         8 ohm 0.5W Speaker

 Component Locations;

All R/C components are mounted within the body shell

Receiver and uBEC

A DPST slide switch mounted on the drivers cab LH Side,is used for power ON/ Charge

ON/Charge switch

In the Charge position power to R/C components is removed and a socket mounted on the RH Side the cab is switched for connection to a charger.

  Power Supply;

The battery, concealed in an under-body baggage rack, provides the power for the Radio Control components, Sound Card, Headlights and the Motor.

I built a freight wagon for the railmotor to pull so I can run a local passenger and freight service.
